As we come out of Christmas and Winter, and a very wet one at that, we are now hoping with the evenings getting longer, that the attendance at the shed will increase (although not many days have been low in numbers). In addition to the brave souls who have been erecting the new shed, there is and has been a lot of activity, clearing out stuff, spring cleaning and getting ready for the new shed season. A bit how I imagine, a hive of bees have been preparing for Spring and Summer. A lot of drones, many workers and the odd Queen Bee.
Many shedders can be impatient or grumpy, and I certainly include myself in that category. But also, like many shedders, we enjoy the advent of Spring and Summer, being outside and being together with friends, family and fellow shedders.

The new shed has resulted in a fantastic leap ahead in our facilities. We have a new space which is now ready to fit out. It has been financed in part by the Clare Foundation and in part by other fundraisers from the local Community. We also had a very generous bequest, which has helped ease the worry of the finances being enough for the purpose of creating this new warm space. I must thank, though, all the shed builders and OICs. Coping with grumpy shedders like myself, impatient for things to happen sooner than is practicable. All have been fantastic and whilst some of the things have taken a little longer than expected, we now have a quality building, and we are ready to start shedding again.
It's been one of the most important investments in the shed, but the most important investment has been in time, and I'd like to personally thank all those shedders who've given a lot of time, moral support, physical support and their skills and energy to produce such a wonderful shed.
We will on May 2nd be having a very special opening of our facility and invitations will be going to shedders and special guests in due course. I look forward to getting the new shed established and with people involved from all sorts of areas of the community.
Thanks to you all.
Bob.
